Verdict

The Bullpadel Hack 04 Hybrid 2025 takes the TriCarbon 18K face and MultiEVA core of the flagship Hack 04 and places them in a teardrop (hybrid) shape with medium-high balance around 255mm. The result is a genuinely different racket from the diamond Hack 04 - not a softer version of the same thing, but a different tool for a different game.

The teardrop shape shifts the sweet spot to the upper-centre of the face and reduces the extreme high balance of the diamond version. The medium-high balance (around 255mm versus 260mm on the diamond) means the Hybrid is faster to swing, easier to redirect at net, and less demanding on the arm. You lose some of the raw smash authority of the diamond - the mass is not as concentrated at the top - but you gain versatility across all court positions.

The TriCarbon 18K face delivers the same crisp, direct contact feel as the diamond Hack 04. Carbon exits faster than Multiglass on centred contacts, and the Hybrid gives you that exit speed in a more accessible format. Smashes still carry real weight. Flat drives still produce meaningful pace. But the hybrid shape means you can also play at net without fighting against the racket's natural tendencies.

The Total Channel aerodynamic system and Tricore heart construction feature on both versions. Frame rigidity and stability are consistent with the flagship. The Air React Channel runs through the core for improved swing speed.

The Hybrid suits the advanced player who covers the whole court and does not want to compromise either net play or baseline attack. Players who play predominantly behind the baseline will want the diamond for more smash authority. Players who play predominantly at the net will find a round shape faster and more natural. The Hybrid is specifically for the player in between.

At EUR 159.95 it comes in below the diamond version, which is unusual for a hybrid format and makes it worth serious consideration if the teardrop specification matches your game.

Who it's for

Best for: Advanced all-court players who want Hack line power with teardrop versatility - more attacking than round, more accessible than full diamond

Skip if: Players who need the pure net-play speed of a round shape, or full diamond power attackers

Strengths

  • Teardrop shape delivers net play versatility the diamond cannot match
  • TriCarbon 18K face - same pro construction as the flagship Hack 04
  • Medium-high balance reduces arm load versus the diamond version
  • Faster to swing and redirect than the high-balance diamond
  • Priced below the diamond flagship

Weaknesses

  • Less raw smash authority than the full diamond Hack 04
  • TriCarbon face demands consistent technique - not arm-friendly
  • Heavier than typical teardrop alternatives at 365-375g
  • Not the right choice if baseline power smash is the primary weapon
